About Miriam

Miriam Guberek was born and grew up in Bogotá, Colombia where she studied graphic design. She moved to Encinitas, California in 1981 and has lived there since.Over the years, Miriam has experimented with drawings in different mediums including ink, charcoal, colored pencils, oils, and pastels, until she found her love of mosaics.Miriam incorporates a variety of materials into her mosaics including tiles, glass, beads, metal, mirrors, plates, jewelry, etc. She prefers bright, colorful combinations.Every mosaic she makes is one-of-a-kind piece.
